Much of the business world today communicates through speaking English, which is why top-quality English language instruction is our ESL center’s major emphasis. In our Business English Program, the focus is on conversational English used in a business context.
We emphasize student speaking and participation, not teacher lecture as in traditional English centers. In fact, our teachers practicing with our methodology encourage students to converse in English for 70% or more of class time and limit their own speaking time to 30% or less. Teachers, of course, clarify grammar, introduce new vocabulary and work on reading strategies, but the emphasis is always on verbal English communication. This program allows students to develop their skills in business English as quickly and effectively as possible, and to really improve in the areas they will use English the most. Enhanced English language ability can improve job performance and create new career opportunities.
We use the latest curriculum in our business English classes to reflect what’s happening in the contemporary business world and offer a wide range of relevant topics such as: presentations, English for meetings, business across cultures, advertising, marketing and many others. This is why so many business people make Bridge their choice for quality English language instruction.
Our Business English Program students range in age from 25 to 50+. They are business professionals who need to improve their English language skills; they come from all different backgrounds such as accounting, management, human resources, engineering, finance and others. Some are employees of multinational companies, others are entrepreneurs and small business owners; all are looking to improve their English in a business setting.
