Purpose and Goals

Our test preparation courses can be customized to help you prepare for any exam. We offer test preparation for the IELTS test as part of our regular curriculum in our advanced (levels B-2, C-1, C-2) Academic English Program. In addition, we have intensive test preparation classes available for the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, TOEIC and IELTS tests.

IELTS Test Preparation Course

BridgeEnglish is an official IELTS testing center and we offer intensive four-day test preparation programs before each test date. For more information on IELTS testing and preparation courses, click here.

GMAT Test Preparation Course

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized test for measuring aptitude to succeed academically in graduate-level business studies. Business schools commonly use the test as one of many selection criteria for admission into an MBA (Master of Business Administration) program.

The intensive BridgeEnglish GMAT Preparation Program familiarizes you with all three sections of the GMAT: Analytical Writing Assessment, the Quantitative Section and the Verbal Section. You will also work on test-taking strategies and develop a personalized study plan. The program qualifies as full-time study for student visa purposes.

The GMAT Test Preparation Course requires a minimum enrollment of 10 hours. Contact us for more details.

GRE Test Preparation Course

The GRE (Graduate Records Exam) is a standardized test required for admission to many master's and doctorate programs. The intensive BridgeEnglish GRE Preparation Course familiarizes you with all three sections of the GRE test (Verbal, Math, and Analytical Writing), while focusing on vocabulary and language skills. You will also work on test-taking strategies and developing a personalized study plan. The program qualifies as full-time study for student visa purposes.

TOEFL Test Preparation Course

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), produced by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), is required by most US and Canadian colleges and universities for the admission of foreign students. BridgeEnglish assists students in their efforts to pass the TOEFL by providing an intensive TOEFL Preparation Program for qualified individuals along with their regular classes.

Focused on the TOEFL Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT), the TOEFL Preparation Program helps students both become better acquainted with strategies for approaching the TOEFL as well as develop proficiency in the content areas: listening, structure and reading comprehension. In addition, assistance with the essay component is available. Private classes in TOEFL preparation are always available from specialized teachers.

TOEFL Preparation classes are on Saturdays 9am - 12pm or evenings M/W or T/TH, 6 - 7:30 pm.

Student Profile

Students in the English Test Preparation Program range in age from 18 to 45+ and are preparing to enter undergraduate or graduate-level college and university programs in the US. All need to show evidence of English proficiency in order to obtain admission to university and many also need to pass additional standard tests such as the GRE and GMAT.
