About the Author

Shannon Combs

Born in Minneapolis, MN, Shannon grew up in Rhode Island and then moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Reed College. During her time at Reed she participated in an exchange program and lived and studied in Paris for a year. She also studied German for a year and a half, and is eager to start studying it again. She moved to Denver about 10 years ago and finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Denver, earning two B.A.s, one in English Literature and the other in French. In Fall 2012, she will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder to earn her Masters’ in Comparative Literature. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, listening to music and traveling.
