Most of our students coming from abroad want to experience American culture as well as learn English. One of the best ways to accomplish both goals is to stay with one of our American host families, where our students can learn about American customs and beliefs, as well as practice English with their hosts.
Many of the families we use have been with us for years and are very experienced at welcoming their international guests. The families will pick students up at the airport, provide a private bedroom and bath or shared bathroom and daily breakfast and dinner, and will take the student to the airport at the conclusion of his or her program. Most will include their international guest in all family activities and will be happy to provide tours and an introduction to Denver and Colorado.
Practicing English in a real-life context before and after ESL classes can dramatically increase the rate at which a student learns English.
