One of the unique features of our program at BridgeEnglish is that all English students are assigned a personal advisor. We want to make sure that every student is 100% satisfied with the total experience at BridgeEnglish, so we schedule regular visits with his or her advisor. In advising sessions, we review the student’s learning rate, attendance, satisfaction with classes, teachers, curriculum, and host family or hotel. Any problem uncovered will be addressed within 24 hours. Advisors can also assist with such things as finding a doctor, dentist, gym or a solution for any other issue about living in the US.
Reports will be issued for all executive students and any others who request them. These cover progress-test score results, an analysis of what the test scores mean in terms of “can do” statements as described by ALTE (Association of European Language Testers) and a personal evaluation from the student’s advisor. These will be presented to the student at the conclusion of his or her English program and e-mailed to human resource departments or other sponsors.
All students who complete a program with us will receive a certificate stating the dates of the English course, final test results and certified with the signature of the director and the center seal.
All students coming to BridgeEnglish for full-time English programs are urged to have F-1 student visas. Upon receiving the application with Bridge, we will issue the student an I-20 that will be taken to the interview at the US embassy or consulate in order to apply for the student visa. Students transferring to BridgeEnglish from other US language centers will need to be in legal status before we will transfer the I-20 to our ESL center. The education coordinator or the director will be happy to assist with I-20 questions. For issues apart from the I-20, please consult an immigration lawyer.
We provide students with a monthly schedule of activities sponsored by the center on Fridays and Saturdays. We believe that a great experience at Bridge is complemented by the excursions we offer to area attractions throughout Denver and Colorado, led by our professional teacher guides. These include hiking trips in Rocky Mountain National Park, ski trips in the winter, downtown Denver tours, visits to museums and local events like the People’s Fair, Cherry Creek Arts Festival and many others. We also sponsor Friday happy hours, center parties and celebrations of American holidays. Activities and excursions are great opportunities to practice English conversation and get to know American culture.
